We are taking over.
Get used to it.
Yes, you're taking over. But curb your pride for succeeding via the passing of your predecessors.
You imagine yourselves a rising wave of world-change, but the world will change you, and most of you will diffuse, trickle and drip, forming unremarkable tributaries of blandness that will fill oceans of mediocrity.
Beware the specious cliche of decrepit curmudgeons bemoaning "kids these days, with that noise they call music"; In your quixotic pursuit you have overlooked the dearth of disapproving patriarchs and conservative foes.
Decades have passed since a generation made a truly revolutionary leap from their predecessors, and the rest of us have struggled to leap beyond their psychadelic shadow.
So, younger generation, disabuse yourselves of the fantasy that your elders dread the coming onslaught of change. We thrive on transformation.
Obsolecence is obsolete.
Try to keep up, whippersnappers. I challenge you to blow us away.
